Rather than make a substantial investment in aging equipment, the customer wanted a long-term heating solution that would improve efficiency and simplify managing separate oil and propane deliveries.
THE SOLUTION: A cold-climate, 24 SEER heat pump paired with a Trane propane furnace replaced the aging oil system. The new dual-fuel configuration combines efficient electric heating and cooling with propane backup heat, allowing the home’s heating system, fireplace, and water heater to share one delivered fuel source.
