Back in 2007, a friend-of-a-friend reached out to ECI Comfort looking to ditch their oil boiler, convert to natural gas, and upgrade to a new gas boiler. Below is what we did to satisfy the homeowner's needs and create their new comfort system!

Problem: Homeowners had an inefficient, older oil boiler and were looking to convert to natural gas. 

 Solution: Installing a Buderus Gas-Fired G234X Water Boiler with outdoor reset and an indirect hot water storage tank.

As you may see, the old, oil boiler system contained many 'moving' parts to make it complete. It has an oil tank to store and supply its fuel, the boiler itself, and a water heater to supply the home with hot water. The combination of these three items take up a lot of space in the home, not to mention their inefficiencies and costs. Time for a change!

Check out that swap-out! ECI Comfort designed and installed a new system: a Buderus Gas-Fired G234X Water Boiler with outdoor reset! This system also features a stainless-steel hot water storage tank. Not only is the system new, but it is also fueled by natural gas, which allows for the removal of the homeowner's existing oil tank! This new fuel source provides better efficiency paired with money savings from fuel costs. On the topic of saving space, the new indirect hot water storage tank also frees up space in the homeowners basement. A cool feature on the new Buderus boiler, is its outdoor reset. This feature allows the boiler to adjust the water temperature in accordance with the outside temperature! A last piece to tie everything together, ECI installed a new gas supply line, in order to provide the new system with its fuel. The improvements in efficiency is fantastic, since there is no longer standby-loss from the old oil boiler!
