ECI Comfort recently installed two five-head ductless split systems! Ductless splits provide a tremendous opportunity to add cold air to your home or office without the need to remodel. This solution is perfect for an area without existing ductwork due to the ability to install without major construction.
Replacing Window AC Units with Ductless Mini-Splits
This building was converted into a multi-zoned office that used window AC units as the original cooling solution. By investing in comfort, Mitsubishi ductless units were installed in ten different zones, allowing for more efficient cooling plus a quieter and more modern looking workspace.
Here is an example of an existing window AC unit. The new ductless split system, featured on the wall towards the ceiling, provide an amazing alternative! These systems welcome natural light back into the room, are much quieter (perfect for an office), and provide less of an eye-sore. As an added bonus, the outlets also get freed up!
As for the outside portion of the building, there will no longer be AC units hanging out of your windows! All it takes (for a large system like this, at least) is two individual outdoor condensing units. Additionally, the line sets are ran through the walls and down the sides of the building, which are covered very neatly by line-hides. Examples of all of these outdoor components can be seen below. The one on the left, is mounted onto a rear wall and the one on the right is mounted on the ground at the side of the house.
Note here, there are two different sides of the building. On the left you can see the ground-mounted unit with the line sets running up the exterior into the interior units. On the right you can see the line sets running from the wall-mounted unit, up the wall and into the interior units. The white line-hides cover the line sets and can be painted, as well, which can accommodate any color or style home!
