The Newport Fire Company had been using outdated AC window units and portable AC's to keep their firefighters cool in the summer. With the heat wave this year, they knew they needed an upgrade for their team. Newport Fire Company reached out to ECI Comfort to help get rid of these outdated window AC units that offered limited cooling, uneven temperature control, and high energy usage.
Initial Conversations
Our comfort specialist, Matt went out to the firehouse and suggested that they installed a 2 to 1 Mitsubishi Electric Heating and Air Conditioning ductless mini-split systems, which provided flexible, zone-specific cooling. When they agreed, we got right to work!
