A Room-by-Room Walkthrough of the Home's Ductless Installation

Each Mitsubishi Electric Ductless system in the home was strategically placed to match the design, layout, and comfort needs of each room:

Home office

A high-wall unit was discreetly installed on an exposed brick wall. This unit is equipped with sensors to detect hot or cold spots, ensuring efficient heating and cooling, even with high ceilings.

Living room

A ceiling cassette air handler was recessed into the ceiling, providing whisper-quiet operation and consistent air circulation. This made it ideal for the large open space, allowing the family to watch TV without any noise interference.

Master suite

For the master bedroom and bathroom, the family chose an air handler with a short-ducted system. This allowed for temperature control in both areas without the need for additional wall units.

Guest bedroom

In the guest room, the Bennetts opted for a floor unit to complement the room’s design. While they were initially concerned about noise, the system turned out to be quieter than a ceiling fan.

With no attic or basement to work with, we got creative when connecting the ductless units to the outdoor heat pumps. The solution involved installing two outdoor pumps that were compact, quiet, and efficiently powered all the indoor units. We also helped the family choose a line set casing that either matched or accentuated the home’s new exterior paint color.
