Initial Conversations
Our homeowner, Steve, initially requested an HVAC quote for a reliable and efficient system to replace his AC and gas furnace which were over 40 years old. His main goals were to lower his utility bills and find a system that wouldn't disturb his family while spending time in the backyard. The air filter was also extremely difficult to access and replace in the old furnace, so it was important to install a system that was easy to maintain. Regular filter changes and annual air conditioning and heating maintenance lead to higher efficiency, increased comfort, and lower energy bills, so this seemingly small issue was actually very important to fix!
Lastly, Steve's old system failed to distribute consistent temperatures throughout the home. The second floor was constantly six degrees warmer than the first, making the rooms upstairs pretty uncomfortable in the summer. We were thrilled at the opportunity to install a new system, ensuring our homeowners could enjoy year-round comfort.
Enhanced Climate Control With a Daikin Fit Air Conditioner
After meeting with our Comfort Specialist, Jeremy, and discussing the options for his home, we decided that a Daikin system was the best fit. (Get it?)
Daikin Fit air conditioner is compact and quiet
The Daikin Fit system is a variable-speed, high-efficiency air conditioner that provides whole-home comfort. The low profile of this outdoor unit offers solutions when a traditional cube style cannot, providing our homeowner with additional outdoor space. The new Daikin system also caters to one of Steve's primary concerns: creating a tranquil outdoor living space. The previous air conditioning unit was incredibly noisy, making it tough to have a conversation on the back porch—a frustrating issue for Steve and his family who love spending time by the pool during the summer months. Luckily, the Daikin Fit produces 56 dB(A) compared to common non-inverter systems which produce around 73 dB(A). Not only this, but the Daikin Fit utilizes a Swing Compressor. This advanced technology reduces vibration and friction, thereby reducing noise. It also improves efficiency and increases the reliability of the system.
Daikin Fit air conditioner boosts efficiency and slashes energy bills
The Daikin Fit differs from traditional systems due to its inverter (variable-speed) compressor. When the set temperature is reached, non-inverter systems will automatically power off causing the temperature in your home to rise. Once more cool air is needed, the unit will re-operate to condition the air. On the other hand, Daikin's inverter system runs continuously but adjusts the compressor's speed to meet the demand. Steve's new air conditioner with a SEER rating of 19 will provide more even temperatures and keep his family cool during the summer. Moreover, with the innovative Daikin One Touch wi-fi thermostat, our customer can effortlessly schedule temperature adjustments, resulting in additional cost savings.
Daikin Gas Furnace Replacement Provides Easier Maintenance
The Daikin two-stage, variable-speed gas furnace installation will ensure exceptional indoor comfort and quiet operation. This furnace features a stainless-steel tubular heat exchanger and a durable ignition system, providing our homeowner with the reliable system he was looking for.
When compared to single-stage furnaces, two-stage furnaces do a better job of eliminating hot and cold spots and uneven temperatures using the dual power mode. Our homeowner can save money on his heating bills by running the furnace longer on low power mode.
We also made sure to install an external filter rack with the new furnace, making filter changes much easier. This will help our homeowner when he changes the filter every few weeks and will also help our technicians when we return for annual heater maintenance.
Saving On a New HVAC System With Tax Credits and Rebates
Not only will our homeowner experience long-term savings with a more efficient system, but he was also able to benefit from tax credits and instant rebates. He received a $600 tax credit and $600 PECO rebate for installing a system with a SEER rating of 16 or higher. These incentives are a great way to upgrade your home comfort system without breaking the bank!
We'll leave you with his thoughts on the project:
"James and Nick were amazing. My daughter's bus never came so I was running late back to the house texted them. Within a minute they said thank you for letting us know. They took their time and didn’t rush through it. Any question I had James had the answer. James went over the thermostat with us. I would recommend Eci to anyone. Never replaced my ac or heater but I made the right choice."
