Case Studies

We think the easiest way to tell you what we do is to show you what we do. Serving the greater Philadelphia area, we've done installations from Old City to Elkins Park, Trenton to Yardley, and have served Delaware Valley homeowners for over twenty years.

So, find a home or a neighborhood that looks like yours and see how we helped the homeowner with their home comfort problems. If you don't see your neighborhood or your type of home here, please click here to let us know where you live and we'll see if we have a story near you.

Mitsubishi SEZ & Unico High Velocity Install for the Fezzuoglio Family

PROBLEM: While John Fezzuoglio and his family were renovating and redesigning their entire home, they decided it was the perfect time for upgrading their cooling system. Not wanting to sacrifice their dream aesthetics for comfort, we were challenged with designing a non-intrusive HVAC system.

SOLUTION: ECI Comfort installed a Unico Small-Duct High Velocity system in combination with Mitsubishi SEZ Small-Duct Mini-Splits. These systems take up much less space than traditional ductwork, provide extreme cooling comfort, and are both efficient and quiet.

Mitsubishi Ductless AC Replacement in Boathouse Row, Philadelphia Following Flood Damage

PROBLEM: The air conditioning units outside Fairmount Rowing Association along Boathouse Row, Philadelphia were damaged during Hurricane Ida's massive flooding. As a result, the boathouse was left with no AC and therefore needed a new solution for their cooling needs.

The five new outdoor units were relocated to the opposite side of the building where flooding is less likely. They were also mounted high on the wall instead of the ground so that they will not be reached in the event of another flood.

Installing a Ductless Mini-Split For An Older Bucks County Home Addition

PROBLEM: These homeowners were tired of installing window units, so they called ECI looking to get a high velocity system installed. This was perfect for the main house, but there wasn't a great way to tie it in to the addition. They also weren't big fans of the look of ductless splits.

SOLUTION: ECI Comfort installed a high velocity system in the main house and a two-zone ductless mini-split system for the addition. Both of the ductless units were blended in with their surroundings to minimize any interruption with the home's aesthetic.

Cooling a Civil War-Era Rowhome & the Revitalization of Fishtown

PROBLEM: Our homeowners bought a 14-room, Civil War-era rowhome in Philadelphia in the seventies. They didn’t want to disturb the home’s architecture by adding ductwork for central air. For decades they used noisy, inefficient window units to cool the home.

SOLUTION: ECI Comfort installed a Unico High Velocity air conditioning system. It silently circulates cool air throughout the house without disturbing the look and feel of the home.
