How Ductless Works
Efficient, Zoned Heating and Cooling Without Traditional Ductwork
Mitsubishi Electric Heating and Air Conditioning Systems provide a modern, energy-efficient way to heat and cool your home — without the need for bulky ductwork. These systems use advanced zoned technology to deliver personalized comfort where and when you need it, while significantly reducing energy waste.

How Ductless Systems Work
If you’re installing a Mitsubishi Electric ductless system in a single room or space, here’s how the system operates:
1. Indoor Unit Cools or Heats the Air
2. Connection Between Indoor and Outdoor Units
A small 3-inch opening in the exterior wall houses refrigerant and electrical lines that link the outdoor condenser to the indoor air handler. This makes installation clean and non-invasive.
3. Outdoor Unit Powers the Cycle
The outdoor unit, which contains a high-efficiency heat pump, continuously heats or cools the refrigerant and sends it back to the indoor unit. The air handler then monitors room temperature in real time and adjusts airflow as needed for consistent comfort.

How Zoned Comfort Works
Unlike traditional HVAC systems that control the entire home from a single thermostat, Mitsubishi Electric ductless systems use zoned control to regulate the temperature in individual rooms or areas.
✔️ Customize temperatures by room
✔️ Save energy by turning off units in unused spaces
✔️ Avoid hot or cold spots throughout your home
Each zone has its own remote or wall-mounted thermostat, giving you complete control over your comfort.
