This Agreement is subject to inspection and approval by an ECI technician. Any repairs required to place the equipment in acceptable condition are excluded and will be charged separately.
This Agreement is available to customers that are on automatic oil delivery solely with ECI. This Agreement will automatically terminate if the customer uses any other oil or service provider other than ECI, fails to pay for all heating oil, any non-covered repairs, or other chargeable items when due. Upon termination, there shall be no refunds or credits allowed.
This Agreement is not pro-rated and unless written notification is received within 30 days of renewal, the full contract charge is due and payable. This Agreement is transferable to a new homeowner as long as the account is in good standing.
A Comprehensive Tune-Up will be performed as part of this Agreement. We must have clear access to the equipment in order to perform the maintenance. We will do our best to contact the customer to schedule but the customer is ultimately responsible to book an appointment. Only one maintenance per year is included in this Agreement and booking is subject to our availability. This Agreement does allow for evening and weekend appointments when available.
This Agreement does not include repair or service of covered equipment that is damaged due to flood, fire, lightning, freeze-up, and/or other acts out of our control. This Agreement does not cover service calls due to improper setting of the thermostat, emergency or power switches in the "off" position, inadequate oil in the tank, or tampering with the equipment. ECI is not responsible for replacing obsolete parts, or any parts not available through normal local sources of supply. ECI is not responsible for furnishing a
new oil burner, domestic coil, or complete system replacement under this Agreement.
ECI is not responsible for any damage caused by oil storage tank or oil line leaks, either before or after the discovery of leaks, including, but not limited to: the cost of recovery of lost oil or removal of contaminated earth or property, damages occurring to any landscaping, sidewalks, patios, driveways, structures or improvements in the area of the leak and is hereby released from any incurred damages.
We do offer oil storage tank coverage through ProGuard.
By submitting the enclosed Agreement (or the electronic equivalent) to ECI, the Customer agrees to all Agreement terms and conditions. Even if the Customer does not send back a signed copy of the Agreement, paying for or allowing service by ECI binds the Customer to the Agreement.
The Customer must notify ECI as soon as possible of any suspected operating issues. An answering service is provided when the office is closed in order to notify ECI of any issues or questions
**Year round 24-hour emergency service is available under this Agreement. Non-emergency service will be performed during normal business hours as the schedule allows. Emergency service is defined as a NO HEAT situation. We will arrive as soon as possible based on the volume of calls, weather, etc. 24-hour service means we will arrive within 24 hours.
"No Run Out Guarantee" - As long as the Agreement is active, in good standing and the account is paid in full, we guarantee that you will not run out of oil. If you do run out of oil and your account is in good standing, we will credit $100 to your account to be used for future oil, service or Service Agreement. We are not responsible for deliveries that cannot be made due to extreme weather, emergencies or road closures. Homeowner must inform ECI of any changes in usage, i.e. additional people in the home.
