PROBLEM: Our customer's Dutch Colonial-style home lacked air conditioning, but the structure made it difficult to find a whole-home cooling option.
SOLUTION: ECI installed a small-duct, high-velocity heating and air conditioning system to provide efficient cooling without major renovations. We also added a smart thermostat system for greater comfort control, as well as an air purifier to increase indoor air quality.
PROBLEM: These homeowners were tired of installing window units, so they called ECI looking to get a high velocity system installed. This was perfect for the main house, but there wasn't a great way to tie it in to the addition. They also weren't big fans of the look of ductless splits.
SOLUTION: ECI Comfort installed a high velocity system in the main house and a two-zone ductless mini-split system for the addition. Both of the ductless units were blended in with their surroundings to minimize any interruption with the home's aesthetic.
PROBLEM: Our homeowners had a twenty-five year old boiler with a bad gas valve. Replacement of the unit was expensive and they decided it'd be wiser to invest in a new boiler as a long-term investment in their comfort and safety.
SOLUTION: ECI Comfort installed a newer version of their Burnham boiler, a series-3 Model #306 gas boiler with electronic ignition. This new boiler is more efficient than the old version and will save on fuel by not running a pilot light constantly. The new control packages can save between 15 and 20 percent in fuel costs.
PROBLEM: Our homeowners had a leaking boiler, and they also were always running out of hot water. With three girls and one more on the way, they knew having enough hot water was a problem that was only going to get worse over time!
SOLUTION: We replaced the old boiler with a Biasi B4-10 cast iron high-efficiency oil boiler with a 40 gallon Heat Flow Indirect water tank. This means not only with their heating problems be solved, but they will have unlimited hot water, something that will make them happy for years to come!
