Express Club Terms & Conditions

1. Equipment Inspection & Approval

This Agreement is subject to inspection and approval by an ECI technician. Any repairs required to place the equipment in acceptable operating condition are excluded from membership and will be billed separately upon customer approval.


2. Eligibility Requirements

Express Club membership is available exclusively to customers enrolled in automatic oil delivery solely through ECI Comfort/MyExpressOil.

Membership will automatically terminate if the customer:

  • Uses any other fuel or service provider
  • Cancels automatic delivery
  • Fails to pay for heating oil deliveries
  • Fails to pay for non-covered repairs or other chargeable services when due

Upon termination, no refunds or credits will be issued.


3. Membership Term & Renewal
  • Unless written cancellation notice is received within 30 days of renewal, the full renewal amount is due and payable.
  • Membership is transferable to a new homeowner provided the account is in good standing.

4. Automatic Delivery Requirement

Express Club includes automatic delivery based on ECI’s consumption forecasting system. Customers must:

  • Maintain clear and safe access to fill pipes and tanks
  • Notify ECI of any significant changes in fuel usage (additional occupants, renovations, new equipment, etc.)

Failure to inform ECI of usage changes may void any runout protections.


5. Budget Payment Plan

Level budget payments are calculated based on estimated annual usage and projected fuel costs.

  • Budget amounts may be adjusted if usage materially changes.
  • All payments must remain current to maintain membership benefits.
  • Failure to maintain payments may result in suspension or termination of benefits.

Optional price cap protection is available at an additional charge and applies only if selected at enrollment.


6. Preseason Preventative Maintenance

One comprehensive annual tune-up is included per membership term.

  • Appointment scheduling is the customer’s responsibility.
  • We will attempt to contact customers, but booking must be confirmed by the homeowner.
  • Only one maintenance visit per 12-month term is included.
  • Maintenance scheduling is subject to availability.
  • Clear access to equipment is required.

Evening and weekend appointments may be available but are not guaranteed.


7. Priority Service & 20% Service Discount

Express Club members receive:

  • Priority scheduling during peak demand periods
  • A 20% discount on qualifying covered service repairs

Priority service does not guarantee immediate arrival but places members ahead of non-members in scheduling order.

Discount does not apply to:

  • System replacements
  • Oil tank replacements
  • Major equipment upgrades
  • Non-covered items

8. Emergency Service

Year-round 24-hour emergency service is available to active members in good standing. Emergency service is defined as a no-heat situation.

  • We will respond as soon as possible based on call volume, weather conditions, and road accessibility.
  • “24-hour service” means arrival within 24 hours when conditions allow.

Non-emergency service is performed during normal business hours.


9. Limitations of Coverage

Express Club does not cover repair or service resulting from:

  • Flood, fire, lightning, freeze-ups, or other acts of nature
  • Power outages or electrical supply issues
  • Improper thermostat settings
  • Emergency or power switches in the "off" position
  • Inadequate oil in the tank due to canceled auto delivery or unpaid balances
  • Tampering with equipment
  • Oil tank or oil line leaks
  • Damage caused by fuel contamination

ECI is not responsible for replacing obsolete or unavailable parts, complete oil burners, domestic coils, or full system replacements under this membership.

ECI is not liable for damages resulting from oil storage tank or oil line leaks, including but not limited to:

  • Environmental cleanup
  • Lost oil
  • Landscaping damage
  • Structural damage
  • Driveways, sidewalks, patios, or surrounding property

Separate oil tank protection coverage may be available.


10. No Run-Out Commitment

As long as:

  • Membership is active
  • Account is paid in full
  • Automatic delivery remains in place
  • Usage changes are reported

We commit to managing deliveries to prevent runouts.

If a runout occurs under these conditions, a $100 credit will be applied to the customer’s account for future oil or service use.

This commitment does not apply when deliveries cannot be made due to extreme weather, natural disasters, road closures, or other circumstances beyond our control.


11. Termination

Express Club benefits immediately terminate if:

  • The account becomes delinquent
  • Automatic delivery is canceled
  • The customer switches providers
  • Fraud or misuse is suspected

Upon termination, no refunds or partial credits will be issued.


12. Customer Responsibility

The customer agrees to:

  • Notify ECI promptly of any operating concerns
  • Maintain safe and clear equipment access
  • Keep account balances current
  • Inform ECI of changes in fuel consumption

An answering service is available outside of normal business hours for emergency contact.


13. Acceptance of Terms

By enrolling in Express Club (including electronic enrollment), paying for services, or accepting delivery under this membership, the customer agrees to all terms and conditions outlined herein.
