Bracketology: How the Voting in Conference Tournament 4 Impacts the March Sadness Tournament

It's been a little over three weeks since Conference Tournament 4 began, and three out of four teams in this tournament are really struggling. With only a week left of play, do they have what it takes to get some votes and up their chances to win?

Welcome to ECI8's March Sadness Bracketology Report. The competition is in full swing, and teams across every tournament are vying for a top spot in an effort to win a brand new HVAC unit worth up to $20,000.Learn More About  March Sadness
Let's take a look at how the teams in Conference Tournament 4 are doing.

Who is the projected #1 or #2 seed from this tournament?

Team We Need A Break from Philadelphia is currently in 1st place with 82.6% of the votes. These players are really pretending to be something that they're not. These wannabe ductless units are really old, ugly, duct-taped units. They are a pain to install, an eyesore to look at, and they're not energy efficient. But with the highest number of votes in this tournament, one thing is looking good: their chances at receiving a high seed number in the final March Sadness tournament.Replace window units with ductless AC units

How does the top seed compare to the top seeds in the other tournaments?

Out of the top seeds so far, Team We Need A Break ranks second as far as highest percentage of total votes. To compare, Team Baby Ice has 93.1% of the votes. Team Up In Smoke has 80.0% of the tournament votes. Team Half A Century Old has 60.1% of the votes. Team Hot And Heavy has 56.9% of their tournament votes. Team Love Not War has 52.4% of the tournament votes.

However, this does not necessarily mean that the other top teams are doing way worse than Team We Need A Break, or that Team Baby Ice is taking the cake. Percentage of votes depends on how many fans are actually watching and voting in the tournament. For instance, some teams have a higher percentage, but less total votes. Ultimately, our well-trained Selection Committee will determine seed placements based on multiple factors. While number of votes is the main factor, other team attributes will play a role.

What team has the possibility of improving its ranking?

Honestly, any of the other three teams in this tournament have the chance to improve their ranking, as they all have barely any votes. Although there's definitely still time to get more support and hopefully a better chance at winning. Team Harry Half The Century Heater of Southampton, Pa. and Team Swap Me Out are tied for 2nd place with 5.6% of the votes each. Team Swap Me Out's air conditioner is 25 years old and rotting away.Air conditioner replacement
Team Harry Half The Century Heater has a 50-year-old boiler that's rusted and inefficient. Both teams are clearly in need of new HVAC units, but it seems like their fanbases don't agree.Heater replacement in Southampton, Pa.

Of the struggling teams, which loss might be most damaging?

Team On The Fritz from Elkins Park, Pa. is truly struggling with 0.0% of the votes. This old furnace loves to quit, especially when it's freezing outside. As the owner states, "I believe the heater celebrated the end of WW II." Unfortunately, they aren't connecting with their fans very well, and it doesn't look like they'll be celebrating a replacement worth up to $20,000.Furnace replacement in Elkins Park
