National HVAC Tech Day is on June 22nd! It was created in 2016 to show appreciation for all HVAC technicians that provide helpful home services. At ECI Comfort, we know it's important to appreciate our techs 365 days a year, but we wanted to highlight this day by explaining some of the many reasons why everyone should show appreciation.
Why Should We Appreciate Our HVAC Techs?
An air conditioned home in the summer and a warm home in the winter is something many of us take for granted. Central air conditioning as we know it today was not invented until the early 1900's. New advancements gave homeowners the gift of constant comfort and made warmer states better to live in/vacation to.
They improve your daily comfort levels and quality of life
Without our HVAC technicians, we wouldn't be able to maintain this comfort. If your AC or heat isn't working, they come out at all hours of the day to fix the issue. While most jobs end at 5:00PM, HVAC techs are always there to make sure you're comfortable. They also help solve indoor air quality issues so that you can be healthy and happy where you spend so much time.
They work in extreme conditions year-round
One day without AC in your home can feel awful. So can being outside for a while on a hot summer day. Now imagine that feeling every single day of summer! HVAC technicians are always working in extreme heat (or cold). They sacrifice their daily comfort so that you can restore yours.
They go places you'd hate to be
HVAC techs work in attics, crawl spaces, basements, closets, and anywhere in between. They also climb high ladders, carry heavy equipment, run into cobwebs and pests, and the list goes on.
They help you save money
HVAC experts can help you find ways to save money on energy bills. Whether it be suggesting a more efficient unit for your home or just setting the thermostat differently, they'll help you maximize comfort and savings at the same time. They'll also come out for annual maintenance to ensure your system is running properly and not costing you extra on energy bills.
