PROBLEM:  New homeowners, Ted and Carrie, reached out to ECI during their settlement process on an old Philadelphia rowhome. The rowhome was equipped with cast-iron radiators for heat and window units for AC. Ted and Carrie were looking for a more permanent solution for their new home. Concerned about space and noise, they reached out to ECI about ductless mini-splits.

SOLUTION: ECI Comfort installed a four-zone Mitsubishi Ductless system.  This multi-zone system was installed across three stories and provides both heating and cooling. This provided a permanent solution for their forever home and eliminated the need for those noisy window units. Since these Mitsubishi mini-splits require no ductwork, our homeowners can save on valuable space and get the most out of their new home. They also feature whisper-quiet technology.

PROBLEM:  Our homeowner, David, has a charming stone home built in the early 1700s. The home was built in three phases and was equipped with cast iron radiators for heat with no cooling system. David needed options that would efficiently heat and cool his home without disturbing the clean aesthetic of the property.

SOLUTION: ECI Comfort installed a four-zone Mitsubishi Ductless system.  This four-zone system provides heating and cooling to the main spaces of the home without disrupting the homes functionality. With the home being constructed in different stages, finding spaces for the splits and the heat pump proved to be tricky. But with help from our lead installer, Matt, and coordination with the homeowner, our team found the perfect options and placements. For older homes with limited space, ductless AC is the perfect match.

PROBLEM: Our homeowners needed a way to cool their historic Trinity home in Elfreth's Alley. They did not want to take up valuable space, and wanted to maintain the architectural and historical integrity of the home.

SOLUTION: ECI Comfort installed Mitsubishi ductless mini-splits. These heat pump provide efficient cooling (and heating!) without taking up room with bulky ductwork.

PROBLEM: An pre-war rowhome in the Old City section of Philadelphia didn’t have room for a conventional central air conditioner, and window units were too loud, bulky, and expensive to run.

SOLUTION: ECI Comfort installed two ducted mini-splits to cool the house. These use less energy and are quieter than central air or window units. Plus, they take up less room than traditional ductwork systems.

PROBLEM:  Our homeowner was tired of continuously installing window units every year to beat the summer heat, only to be let down with inefficiency and noisy "window-rattling". His older rowhome also featured a 50+ year old boiler at the end of its life. The homeowner wanted an efficient system that wouldn't compromise space in his home, while providing both cooling and heating. 

SOLUTION: ECI Comfort installed a multi-zone Mitsubishi Ductless Hyper-Heat system.  The system doesn't require ductwork and provides both air conditioning and heat. It is a great way to solve heating and cooling problems in older homes, while maintaining the limited space available. For South Philly rowhomes, ductless AC is the perfect match. This install also featured for the first time, Mitsubishi's brand new FS Model indoor unit!

PROBLEM: A historic trinity home near the Italian Market was always too warm in the summer with no ductwork for central air. 

SOLUTION: ECI Installed a Mitsubishi ductless mini-split system with three indoor air handlers. We mounted the outdoor heat pump along the second floor to preserve artwork near the sidewalk.

PROBLEM: The Knipes were looking to get rid of the window AC units in their Fairmount rowhome, but did not want to retrofit the home with bulky ductwork.

SOLUTION: ECI Comfort installed a Mitsubishi Ductless Mini-Split downstairs, and a Mitsubishi Ducted unit upstairs to keep the whole house evenly cooled.

PROBLEM: These homeowners did not want to go through another summer using window and wall AC units. But they also did not want to disrupt the elegance of their beautiful 1915 Trinity home with mini-splits. Moreover, they did not want to give up precious space to install ductwork.

SOLUTION: ECI Comfort installed a high velocity system for cooling the entire home, and a heat pump to provide warmth during the milder seasons. Brad and Jared were able to get comfortable cooling and heating without paying astronomical bills or altering the home's aesthetic.

PROBLEM: This homeowner was tired of the summer heat taking over her home, but it was too much of a pain to continuously install window AC units every year. Not only was the installation process burdensome, but the inefficiency and "window-rattling" were becoming too much of a nuisance. Time for an upgrade!
