ECI Customer, Holocaust Survivor. Levittown Legend. A Story You Have to Hear.

Last week we received an emergency service call from one of our long time customers in Levittown. One who just happens to have and amazing and inspirational life story. His name is David Wisnia and his call was concerning pipes bursting at his home. But, his amazing story is about a different set of pipes. A set that would eventually save his life from a Nazi concentration camp.

Senior citizens living alone in their own home, rather than in assisted living or with someone else, may face a higher degree of safety challenges when it comes to power outages. Some may rely on assistive medical equipment such as respirators, ventilators, rechargeable power wheelchairs and scooters, oxygen machines, etc. These devices can be the difference between life and death, and are essential just as much as food, water, heating, and cooling.
 
When there is a power outage, the risk for danger intensifies, especially if there are no backup sources of energy to power basic equipment needs.

Conquer the Next Blackout with a Portable Generator & Transfer Switch

In the United States, we typically enjoy a power infrastructure that delivers electricity at a relatively steady and uninterrupted rate. But, during the odd thunderstorms or heavy snowfalls, even our robust electrical grid can be taxed, often causing residents in the affected area to lose power. ECI and the Filipino-American Association of Bucks County


You may have not heard, but on Friday, November 8th, there was a devastating storm, called Typhoon Haian (or Yolanda) in northern Cebu, Philippines. Although the absolute is unknown, it is known that over 10,000 people perished and over 600,000 people lost their homes. These people have been completely displaced and are in great need of food, water and medical attention.
